Welcome to Northern Illinois Law Enforcement Chaplains, located in Rockford, IL.

Our mission:  To provide spiritual, mental, and emotional support to law enforcement individuals and their families due to the unique stresses involved in their careers.  We also serve the communities of Northern Illinois in times of crisis and tragedy.

Our goals:  We see NILEC as a source for both law enforcement agencies and the community to provide unique support in times of crisis.  Law enforcement officers, agencies, and their families face an ever demanding and changing world.  These incredible individuals deal with people who are facing tragedy, destruction, devastation, and life altering situations on a daily basis.  They are expected to help these people, enforce the law, and serve their communities even though, they may be facing their own stresses.  Some of these calls for service affect these officers, which in turn affects their families. 

We are here to provide them with an outlet.  We listen, encourage, advise, and love them for who they are.  We support them and their families through counseling, stress relief exercises, prayer, and hands on solutions so as to allow them to return to their jobs each and every day and do their jobs to the best of their abilities.

We want to see NILEC grow and expand all across Northern Illinois, providing these services to agencies that have no chaplain's program.  We want NILEC to fill a void that is apparent in today's society.  Eventually, we would love to take NILEC's concept nation wide and show law enforcement agencies across the country that you can succeed, and even thrive with this type of program.
