Our Projects

At this time, NILEC is currently working on the following projects:

• We are working with Spare Time Family Redemption Fun Center, located in Don Carter Lanes, in Rockford.  They have set aside the first Tuesday of every month as "Law Enforcement Night".  All you have to do is go there and say you are with NILEC and 25% of the sales for the day will do directly to NILEC.  Spare Time Fun Center is a exciting place to take your family.  They have ticket redemption games, with some awesome prizes, video games, pizza, pop, and Don Carter's Bowling lanes.  They are running a special for us.  $39.00 gets you a large pizza, soda, 4 - $10 game swipe cards, and 200 free tickets.  Again, 25% of all the proceeds go directly to NILEC every month.  If you are interested, you can conatct NILEC and we can give you a free 25% off coupon to use whenever you want.  Please bring out your family for some clean, family fun and help NILEC out in the process.

• We are working on a fundraiser for August, 2012 in which NILEC would be sponsoring a half marathon run, 5K run, a bicycle ride, and family fun walk.  The event will take place in Boone County.  We are looking for runners, bikers, and walkers of all ages to come out and enjoy a time of training and exercise.  The registration fees are $50 for the 1/2 marathon for adults, $30.00 for the bike event and 5K run for adults, $25 for all students 12-18 years old for any event, and a $25 donation for the family walk for the whole family.  We will be contacting all of the high schools in Northern Illinois that have a cross country team.  There will be prizes awarded for the top male and female finisher.  A prize for the top student finisher will be a scholarship and the top high school team finisher will receive a prize for their school.  The proceeds will benefit the Northern Illinois Police Memorial Week Planning Committee, the Illinois Chapter of Concerns Of Police Survivors, and NILEC.   A registration form will be coming soon to our website.  We are looking for corporate sponsors for this event.
